Umbrella Making Process

Every part of the umbrella is essential to make it work. The user moves the stretcher upwards and then pushes the stretcher toward the ribs. This creates a force that fully expands the canopy and secures it in place by the locking mechanism.

Closing the umbrella has the opposite effect. Press the spring to release the locking mechanism. The runner will automatically move down on the axis, and you can move it all the way to the bottom. From there, roll up the umbrella and save it for emergencies.

Step 1: Prepare materials and check for any defects.
Step 2: Stitch each fabric panel together to create the canopy.
Step 3: Create shafts, springs, handles, runners and ribs.
Step 4: Check each piece to make sure its size and color are correct.
Step 5: Connect all the parts together, like a huge puzzle.
